Mayzo COVID-19 Update

January 2021

Without a doubt, 2020 was a tumultuous year throughout the globe. As an essential business, Mayzo rose to the challenge, providing extraordinary service to customers without interruption.

When COVID-19 was declared a pandemic in March 2020, Mayzo was well-prepared to contend with the business consequences. The company had had the foresight to implement cloud connectivity for our systems before it became a lifeline for companies everywhere. With our data and hardware infrastructures already in place, we were able to direct all our crisis intervention efforts toward workplace health and safety.

A Safety Steering Committee was immediately formed with the directive to create an environment where employees can “Be safe, feel safe”. A special task force then instituted strict coronavirus protection protocols at both our facilities, with a schedule for staff rotation at our headquarters. To coordinate efforts as we work from multiple locations, we start each day with a brief check-in meeting with the entire Mayzo team.  We are fortunate to be able to report that as of year-end 2020, we have had no incidents of the virus among our staff, and both work attendance and productivity have been excellent.

Due to our diverse customer base, demand for our specialty chemical additive products remained steady last year despite the pandemic.  Mayzo continues to operate as usual with a US inventory of chemical stabilizer materials such as Antioxidants, UV Absorbers, Optical Brighteners and Release Coatings, in many forms and package sizes.  Our business has experienced no supply interruptions, and economic projections now point toward a substantial increase in 2021.  We are coping with the current worldwide shipping challenges and are committed to fulfilling forecasted customer orders on time and in full.

We look forward to the opportunity to resume customer visits and escalate plant trials on new formulations as soon as travel is again deemed safe.  Until then, we are ready to help by phone or videoconference.  Let us know how we can serve you at info@mayzo.com or 800#.

Wishing all our customers and business partners a healthy and prosperous New Year!
