Mixing Instructions: Depending on the type of substrate and pressure sensitive adhesive, the concentration of solid matter required should be determined by laboratory trial. RA-668W Release Coat diluted to between 1% to 2.5% solids will be adequate in most pressure sensitive applications. Dilute with distilled water, and stir well before use.
Application Methods: Apply RA-668W using Meyer rod, Anilox or Gravure rollers at 4-5 gm/m2. Dry coating thoroughly at about 100°C depending on web speed and oven efficiency before rewinding. Complete drying of the applied coating must occur prior to rewind to avoid degradation of release performance. To insure maximum performance, a cure temperature of 210 °F must be achieved. By flexographic printing, apply using 200 – 300 line anilox rolls.
Applications RA-668W is a premium coating developed for hot and cold substrates. RA-668W works best on paper when the sheet is sealed using a base coat. It is designed for release of baked goods and for pressure sensitive applications. It is excellent for masking tape and pressure sensitive label applications in which superior release properties are desired. It is printable.
Advantages:
- Recyclable and repulpable.
- Printable.
- No adverse effects on color, air permeability or strength of paper substrates.
- Composed of ingredients that are in compliance with FDA for direct and indirect food contact.
