Social Responsibility & Eco Considerations

Protecting and preserving the environment is more important than ever. Mayzo is proud to make social responsibility efforts a part of our daily business practices. Our professionals are continually finding ways to create products that are eco-friendly, and that minimize environmental impact.

One example of the products that we have developed which helps our customers reduce their use of petroleum-based plastics is our beta nucleation masterbatch. This product and the technology that we have developed in this area allows our customers to reduce the weight of existing polypropylene products while still retaining their key performance characteristics. Not only does this down-weighting result in less plastic usage, but it also provides our customers with considerable cost savings.

Other examples of a Mayzo product line that offers environmental benefits are our TPR antioxidant blends, BNX 5010TPR & BNX 1225TPR. In these products the antioxidant powders are incorporated into a highly loaded masterbatch based on a styrenic rubber. Since the TPR product form is a pellet rather than a powder, health and safety issues associated with the use of fine powders, such as respiratory problems and explosive hazards are eliminated. The customer also achieves additional cost benefits in terms of reduced waste and more accurate dosing.
