Advantages

  • Non-staining and non-discoloring
  • Improves long-term stability
  • Prevents loss of tack and decreased oxygen uptake in un-vulcanized rubber adhesives
  • FDA cleared for use in adhesives and rubber articles

Guidelines for Use

Recommended concentrations for use in adhesives range from 0.5 to 1.5%. Combinations of BNX TAHQ with other antioxidants such as hindered phenols, phosphites, thioethers, and multifunctional antioxidants often show synergistic performance. BNX TAHQ is also suitable for use in combination with light stabilizers. The exact formulation to be used is dependent on the substrate, performance requirements, and other factors, and should be determined by the user based on testing to simulate actual conditions of use.
