BNX® MD-1097 – Antioxidant & Metal Deactivator

BNX® MD-1097 – Introduction: BNX® MD-1097 is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant and metal deactivator. BNX® MD-1097 protects polymers against oxidative degradation and metal catalyzed degradation during processing and in enduse applications. This antioxidant also provides long term thermal stabilization properties.

Applications: This phenolic antioxidant is an excellent, non-discoloring, non-staining antioxidant and thermal stabilizer with outstanding metal deactivation properties. Typical end use applications include wire and cable insulation, film and sheet manufacture as well as automotive parts. BNX ®MD-1097 will stabilize polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyester, EPDM, EVA and ABS.

Loading Instructions:

Packaging: BNX® MD-1097 is available in a 25-kg fiber drum, net weight, with a double inner PE liner.

Storage: This product may be stored up to one year in a sealed container. Containers should be stored in a cool, dry area. Extended storage at elevated temperatures or exposure to direct heat or sunlight could reduce product life. Keep containers sealed when not in use

Toxicity & Safety: This material is not intended for use in products for which prolonged contact with mucous membranes or abraded skin, or implantation within the human body is specially intended, unless the finished product has been tested in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration and/or other applicable safety testing requirements. Because of wide range of such potential uses, Mayzo, Inc. is not able to recommend this material as safe and effective for such uses and assumes no liability for any such uses. FDA Regulations: BNX® MD-1097 meets the following FDA regulations: Section 175.105 in food-packaging adhesives and Section 178.2010 for use in olefin polymers in food contact at usage levels not to exceed 0.1% by weight of finished Product.
