BNX 3595

Overview

BNX 3595 is a high performance; multifunctional antioxidant system specially developed for the stabilization of unsaturated elastomers such as polybutadiene, polyisoprene, styrene-butadiene rubber, and styrenic block copolymers such as SIS and SBS.  It is also useful for the stabilization of hot melt adhesives (especially those derived from unsaturated elastomers) and rosin ester tackifier resins.

Applications

BNX 3595 provides outstanding stabilization performance in unsaturated elastomers such as polybutadiene, polyisoprene, styrene-butadiene rubber, and styrenic block copolymers such as SIS and SBS. It is also effective for the stabilization of hot melt adhesives (especially those derived from unsaturated elastomers) and rosin ester tackifier resins. BNX 3595 helps to prevent the degradation of materials from exposure to heat during processing operations and end use that can lead to problems such as gel formation, changes in viscosity, and discoloration.

Guidelines for Use

Recommended loading levels range between about 0.02 and 1% by weight, depending upon the substrate, processing conditions, end use, and other performance requirements. BNX 3595 may be used in combination with other additives, including ultraviolet absorbers, hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), benzoate light stabilizers, and antioxidants (primary and/or secondary types). The exact formulation to be used is dependent on the substrate, performance requirements, and other factors, and should be determined by the user based on testing to simulate actual conditions of use.

Storage

This product may be stored up to two years in a sealed container. Containers should be kept tightly closed and stored in a cool, dry place. Keep containers sealed when not in use.
